THE VISION

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an Open World Designer, who will be responsible for designing and planning „living world” substance for the Cyberpunk 2077. Person in this position will be focused on designing and implementing open world missions, mechanics and communities essential for our current project. If you have extensive knowledge of open world games and want to face new challenge – join us!

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN A NUTSHELL

  • Designing and implementing communities and open world events using a proprietary toolset.
  • Maintaining the highest possible quality of open world content and fixing reported bugs.
  • Keeping high quality of Open World content in game.
  • Cooperating with other departments.
  • Creating design documentation for the project.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2 years of experience working on AAA games as a Quest, Mission or Open World Designer.
  • Extensive knowledge of open world games.
  • Experience with game editors and game design tools.
  • Proven exceptional narrative skills.
  • Competence in visual scripting and basic scripting skills.
  • Well ­developed communications skills.
  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • Ability to work within a specified set of guidelines.
  • Creativity and ability to bring your ideas to life.
  • Positive attitude and teamwork spirit.
  • Passion for games!

As a part of recruitment process, a candidate for a Open World Designer is always asked to perform a test – design and implement open world elements with a specific number of requirements. Those are provided when the candidate decides to start a testing procedure and it has to be delivered on time in one of the following engines: RED kit (preferred), Neverwinter Nights 2.
