At GOG.com, we always stay in touch with our community, we are passionate gamers talking to other gamers. In order to make this communication even better, we’re currently looking for a social virtuoso who will become a part of our PR & Marketing team. This is a shout-out to all games aficionados, who are able to talk with great ease to all gamers anytime, anywhere. The GOG.com forums, well-known social platforms like Twitter & Facebook, and other places attended by gamers en masse (Reddit, Twitch, and more) are the places where your voice will be heard. Our keyword is: Zeitgeist. Don’t forget that GOG.com has a human face. This is why, in this role, you will also get the chance to meet gamers live and help organize such non-virtual events. Finally, your ideas will count! We want our community to grow and be one that is well entertained - by YOU!

Responsibilities:

  • Co-create a solid strategy for our social media channels with our Marketing team.
  • Develop, compose, and implement community-targeted content in cooperation with the Marketing & Design teams.
  • Moderate and administrate the GOG.com official forum and participate in our social network communities.
  • Be proactive in searching for new ideas and ways to talk with our community.
  • Monitor key gaming forums and communities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influential community members
  • Support the organization of events with the presence of our community (i.e. GamesCom).

Requirements:

  • Being a social virtuoso :)
  • Deep familiarity with video games and video game culture.
  • Excellent spoken and written English with a focus on copywriting.
  • At least 2 years of community management or equivalent experience.
  • Attention to detail: please include our keyword in the topic of your application email.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to plan and organize workflow.
  • High self-motivation and initiative, team spirit, and a positive “can do!” attitude.
  • Flexibility in terms of work hours - our community and social channels will be counting on you; sometimes in later hours of the day.
