GOG.com is looking for a Games Tester to find and squash bugs which arise when games are updated for modern operating systems. You will be working in our internal Test Team, helping us take our games to the next level. Our keyword is “fluffy_unicorns”.

Responsibilities:
Testing the games (checking the patches, testing the whole game on your PC and on our testlab).
Reporting progress and raising key issues with the QA Lead.
Making sure deadlines are met.
Researching known and unknown game issues on the Internet (good google-fu is mandatory).
Independent problem-solving of simple bug fixes in order to help deliver ready-to-play games on time.

Requirements:
Windows Poweruser. Mac/Linux knowledge is welcome, but not required,
Basic knowledge about games’ inner workings (engines, redists, graphical API’s etc.),
Knowledge of computer hardware,
Expertise in tinkering with games: modding, fixing, hex editing,
Basic programming/scripting knowledge is a plus (we use PowerShell for automation),
Fluent English is necessary - you will be playing games as well as researching topics on the Internet in English.
Good Polish would be a plus (to talk with the team and to describe the bugs).
Ability to write clearly. You must be able to describe a problem so that the developer knows how to replicate and fix it.
Attention to detail (put our keyword in the subject line of your response email).
Ability to find important information on the Internet.
Gamer or old school gamer.
A university degree is preferred, but you may also be a student (it doesn’t have to be IT studies!) if you can be with us five days a week (full-time).
A friendly temperament will not hurt. ☺
