Senior Java developer

We are looking for a Senior Java developer to help build a platform for a major television network delivering the next generation of video and media content to kids. Experience in architecting web based API platforms within a well supported web framework is a must.

Dubit works with start-ups and major kids brands in the UK, America, Middle East, and Asia. We’ve created games for Al Jazeera, MMOs for PBS KIDS, educational apps that teach children to read, and run the fastest growing virtual reality content store. We make products millions of kids love, and and hope you want to do that too!

Working remotely initially, the successful candidate will work closely with the development teams in Leeds, UK and other remote developers in Warsaw. Ultimately, the company will work out of office space in Warsaw.

Candidate Requirements:

Proven expertise in architecting, deploying, supporting, optimising and administering complex and scalable Java web applications.
The ability to communicate about and evaluate complex design decisions within a team
Spring MVC or Play Framework (experience with other frameworks considered - be prepared for well backed-up discussions about suitability though!)
Experience in designing RESTful API services
Ability to work effectively with RDMS systems and ORMs (e.g. Hibernate)
Experience with non-relational/no-SQL DBs (Cassandra preferred)
Ability to design and deliver a high-volume and scalable service
