What is this job all about?

We’re currently looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join the Fishing Clash team! We’re looking for a person who’s passionate about Java development. Someone who likes to understand how things work under the hood. At TSG, we’re humble, so it’s fantastic if you are too. Oh, and pragmatism is of paramount importance to us. Interested? What will you be doing?

• Implementing new functionalities in the game;
• Maintaining and optimizing the app;
• Working closely with more senior developers in the team;
• Collaborating with QA, Artists, and Game Designers;
• Technical support for game designers in designing new functionalities;
• Learning and ensuring high standards and good coding practices;
• Fixing bugs and performance issues.

What are we looking for?

• Good communication skills and being a team player;
• Knowledge of Java;
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Amaze us with:

• Hobby projects that can show your interest in software development (a Github profile with properly described projects would be nice);
• Participation in game jams;
• Commercial experience in software development;
• Knowledge and experience in Redis, PostgreSQL, Protocol Buffers, Jenkins, Maven, Python 3, and Netty would be a plus.
