Technical Animator

We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and freshly released The Thaumaturge. Now that The Witcher Remake is in development, we are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team for this project, developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED studio. At this point, the game is in its initial phases, and we have seasoned developers who have contributed to past Witcher titles on board. Sounds interesting? Get in touch with us!

Responsibilities

• Implementing animation-related features in Unreal Engine, using built-in engine systems and our game-specific systems.
• Working with both asset-based features and procedural animation systems (i.e. Control Rig).
• Cooperating with animation, gameplay and cinematic departments.
• Requesting features from engineering teams (programmers, DevOps, Automated QA).
• Researching new technical solutions.

Requirements

• 3 years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5.
• Ability to implement logic using Blueprints.
• Fluent English.
• Keeping up with technological nuances in the field of animation.
• Ability to clearly convey constructive feedback.
• Good communication skills and eager to work in a group.
• Ability to solve problems.

Nice to have

• Professional experience with the Unreal Engine animation systems.
