THE VISION

The Art Director at CD PROJEKT Red will create and maintain the artistic vision for all games in development at the studio. You will push the technological boundaries of next gen hardware. You will direct the art teams in the creation of highly believable and immersive game worlds.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN A NUTSHELL

• Create, own and perpetuate an original artistic vision based on the game design vision (to incorporate environments, characters, lighting, vfx, composition, mood, color, motion, UI elements).
• Direct the artists by leading from example, and reviewing and providing detailed feedback individually day-to-day.
• Cooperate with the Warsaw Art Directors to insure a unified style consistency across studios.
• Embrace the technical constraints as provided by the Technical Art Director and programming directors.
• Periodically present and defend the art milestones into the major stakeholders.
• Participate in the hiring and development of artists.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 7 years’ experience as an artist
• At least 3 years’ experience in a leading role
• Previous experience as an Art Lead / Art Director
• Able to create and deliver a wide range of artistic styles
• Deep understanding of the artistic trends in game development
• Previous games experience is a big plus but not a mandatory requirement
• Skilled 3D and/or 2D art
• Outstanding verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
