THE VISION

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an exceptional, talented and experienced Animation Technical Artist to join our outstanding Cracow team. The person in this position will be responsible for creation of rigging system and tools. You will work closely with Animators and Technical Artists as well as with Animator & Technical Directors. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN A NUTSHELL

• Working within the tools team on all animation related technology, mainly focused on MotionBuilder and Autodesk Maya.
• Implementing tasks to specification defined by the Lead Tools Programmer/Lead Rigger.
• Designing, creating, testing and maintaining character rigs/setups.
• Working with modelers to create a model that meet technical needs.
• Collaborating with animators to design motion controls.
• Developing and maintaining character motion and deformation system.
• Writing pipeline tools to streamline the setup process.
• Working with production management to prioritize tasks.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years’ documented experience in a game industry with one AAA title shipped / or 3 years in a film industry.
• In depth knowledge of Motion Builder and Maya.
• Strong understanding of both figure and facial anatomy.
• Very good knowledge of MEL/Python.
• The ability to effectively collaborate with animators and programmers.
• Passion for games!
