Senior Web Developer - PHP

GOG.com is looking for a Senior PHP Web Developer to enhance our extraordinary team. Join us in creating a beautifully designed, modern website using all the cutting-edge technologies. This position will allow you to work on many aspects of the GOG.com website, as well as a variety of internal applications.

Responsibilities:

• Work on existing projects, introduce new features and enhance current solutions.
• Cooperate with other departments on all aspects of the project (features, design, UX).
• Work with existing frameworks / code bases / legacy solutions.
• Maintain and support existing code / features.
• Stay up to date with all emerging new web technologies.
• Influence the team’s choice of technologies to solve different problems.

Requirements:

• 3 years of proven web development experience.
• Excellent knowledge of PHP5 and OOP practices.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScrtipt and various frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL databases, query/table optimisations.
• Deep knowledge of best security practices.
• Strong understanding of HTML/CSS.
• Ability to work with source control tools (SVN, Git).
• Ability to easily communicate in English.

Pluses:

• Knowledge of existing PHP frameworks.
• Knowledge of other web-related technologies.
• Passion for gaming, game services, and online communities.
