VFX artist

Playsoft is a game company located in Gdansk, Poland. We are looking for a freelance VFX 3D artist to assist us with a project in Unreal 3. The project is related to an extremely well-known fighting game IP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Integrate provided assets (character mesh, animations, special effects) into a playable and beautiful presentation
-Collaborate with a game designer and programmer to deliver the project

REQUIREMENTS:

-3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and executing visual effects and animations for video and/or mobile games
-Extensive understanding of 3D graphics, particle systems, physics, etc.
-Strong game design awareness and ability to create effects that support the game vision
-BA or BS degree in art or equivalent work experience
-Availability to work on the project full-time for 5 weeks in our office in Gdansk with the possibility to extend
-Must have experience using Unreal Engine and its editor

ADDITIONAL QUALITIES THAT ARE CONSIDERED A BONUS:
Experience with fighting games
