Are you taking your first steps into the world of QA and software engineering? Are you looking to do so in a friendly environment of a renowned digital games distribution company? Then look no further. We are looking for beginner coders/programmers to help us write automated tests, develop our internal tools and perform functional tests on our games and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing automated tests for components of our GOG Galaxy digital gaming platform, which is being used by millions of gamers.
  • Creating and maintaining internal tools of the GOG Galaxy team, including our build system.
  • Functional testing of internally developed software.
  • Taking part in shaping our QA and supporting the GOG Galaxy team in dealing with current and upcoming challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of Python - personal or university projects count!
  • Ability to use version control systems, i.e. Git.
  • Willingness to learn: we develop our own testing framework and choose our own technologies, therefore we expect you to adapt and learn quickly, as well as be able to provide your own input.
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken) is necessary.
  • Knowledge about games (old and new), or even better, being ridiculously passionate about them.
  • A friendly temperament will not hurt. ;)

Pluses:

  • Basic understanding of C++.
  • Previous experience in QA.
  • Familiarity with Selenium, Jenkins, or Inno Setup.
  • Experience with web-related technologies: HTML, JavaScript, HTTP protocol.
  • Being a Windows or OSX power user.
