Data Scientist (f/m)

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist who wants to work as part of our AAA F2P project Dreadnought (www.playdreadnought.com). Support us in providing information that will improve our game. We’re looking for people who love the idea of working together in interdisciplinary teams and a fast-paced and professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Transfer complex mathematical relationships and large amounts of data into actionable dashboards, presentations and consultations
• Expand the methodical repertoire and the available sources of data by developing and expanding new tracking opportunities
• Define, create, and implement complex quantitative models for projection to evaluate user behavior and identify the important predicting variables
• Be the contact person for A/B tests, from definition to evaluation
• Use multivariate evaluation methods to segment customer behavior and support stakeholders in providing actionable data
• Document the results of data analysis and identify projected trends
• Learn new things, mentor and share knowledge within the company
• Work closely with other departments like e.g. Game Design, Production and Engineering

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a data scientist or in a similar position
• University degree in a fitting area (e.g. statistics, applied mathematics, business intelligence)
• Profound knowledge of multivariate evaluation methods
• High knowledge of data analysis, using analyzing tools such as SAS, R, MatLab, Python, SPSS or other technical gears
• Proficient in working with SQL and MS Office
• Enthusiasm for learning quickly and independently new technologies
• Ability to take and apply direction and work well in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Passionate about videogames

Desirable skills

• Experience with successful projects in predictive modeling / scoring is a big plus
• Experience in game or multimedia industry
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlikview or any equivalent)
