Founded in 1991, Techland is a renowned independent game developer, distributor, and global publisher. The Poland-based company is best known for the original Dead Island games, the Call of Juarez series, and most recently for Dying Light and its expansion Dying Light: The Following - the game has been played by over 11 million unique players to date. We are now developing two triple-A titles that are to be released within the next three years.
In 2016 Techland became a global video game publisher under the brand of Techland Publishing. At the beginning of 2017 the company published Torment: Tides of Numenera – a successor to the all-time classic Planescape: Torment – and currently Techland Publishing is preparing to release Pure Farming 2018 with more third party titles to follow.
Techland develops and publishes top-tier entertainment content for all the leading platforms, including the PC, Sony PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Xbox One. Comprised of over 350 professionals across four offices in Poland and Canada, the company is committed to delivering unforgettable experiences and using latest technology for innovative entertainment.

We are looking for Candidates for the position of
Global Business Development Director
place of work: Wrocław

Responsibilities:

  • creating business development strategy with accordance to company goals,
  • identifying new business opportunities, that meet the strategic needs of the company, for example:
  • analysing various revenue models,
  • acquisition of new products for Techland Publishing,
  • creating business plans, sales strategies for chosen initiatives,
  • contract negotiations,
  • developing and executing growth strategies,
  • being actively involved in daily Business Development Team activities,
  • supervising all the contracts being timely executed on Techland’s and partner’s side,
  • managing and developing network of business contacts mainly within (but not limited to) game - development industry,
  • participating in various game development events around the world, such as E3, GDC, gamescom etc.,
  • managing Business Development Team,
  • close cooperation with marketing, development/production and finance teams.

Requirements:

  • significant experience in business development area,
  • excellent understanding of financial and sales strategies,
  • current knowledge about the video game market and trends,
  • ability to provide leadership to team members at all levels,
  • understanding of the role of professional communication inside and outside the company,
  • wide managerial experience,
  • strong negotiation skills and proactive attitude.

Nice to have: interest or experience in game development industry.
