Title

WHO WE ARE
We are INTERMARUM - a game development studio located in Opole with a team of over 20 members making games since 2010. We are working both on our commissioned projects and our own IP cooperating with global publishers, and since 2018, over 1,5 million players all over the world enjoyed our games. We make games for various target platforms: PC, mobile devices, WebGL, and we look on with interest to expanding our experience with consoles, both standalone and handheld.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be working with several projects for various platforms, design game mechanics, describe them and oversee their prototyping or prototype them yourself with tools provided by us. As a designer, you will take part in producing video games over each step - from idea to implementing and balancing gameplay.

YOU WILL ALSO

  • Work with a team of designers, artists and programmers (during implementation of mechanics designed by you and extending, tweaking or fixing ideas and projects created by others);
  • Write text, tasks, dialogues and storylines for our games;
  • Create huge amounts of content with use of Excel;
  • Design games both in the Premium and F2P models;
  • Analyze data with regards to monetization and gameplay enjoyment;
  • Create a readable, easily understandable and detailed project documentation;
  • Design, in cooperation with a GUI Artist, interface prototypes for games;

HOW WE WORK

  • We work with a flat management scheme - your voice is important on all levels of game development and you have constant input over how the game looks;
  • We work on many projects at the same time - you can constantly handle something new and your tasks change dynamically based on needs;
  • Your voice is important - not just for task selection, but also what kinds of games we make;
  • A good atmosphere is key for us - casual talking, playing boardgames and RPGs together, a calm atmosphere in a house with a garden in the suburbs of Opole, a company dog and a BBQ - that's how we want to spend 1/3 of our lives;
  • We always want more - we constantly try to use the newest features of the Unity engine in our projects - not just the new ones. We always look for that one step closer to perfection;
  • We develop our team in Opole, but for many years we work with remote workers - if you don't have a way to move to Opole, we can still agree on something!

WHO ARE YOU

  • 2+ number of years of experience in Game Design;
  • Knowledge of Unity, scripting languages (LUA), Excel and project management tools (Trello, Jira, Hack'n'Plan) and GIT version control strongly welcome;
  • You know and understand the world of games and keep track of trends in virtual entertainment;
  • You have a completed and released commercial project in your portfolio;
  • You are motivated and enjoy hard work based on healthy feedback and criticism;

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Flexible work hours (core hours of 12am-4pm CET are very welcome);
  • Help with relocation;
  • No non-compete policy;
  • Pet-friendly office;
  • Event parties, company BBQs and friday lunches;
  • A chill atmosphere of a calm office in Opole's suburbs, with consoles, a private garden, deck chairs and space to relax;
