Senior Backend Engineer

Donkey Crew is looking for experienced humans to join our international team of passionate artists and programmers at our newly established studio in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, Poland.

If you are enthusiastic about the prospect of making great PC games, and looking to work in an inspiring and growing environment, this is the place for you. Currently we are working on a highly innovative multiplayer game for the PC built on Unreal 4.

What you’ll do:

• Extend and evolve our game backend systems
• Handle increasing scale and availability requirements
• Implement new and maintain existing APIs
• Collaborate in teams with designers, artists and other developers to implement systems supporting new gameplay features

Ideally you’ll have:

• Hands-on experience building and working with large-scale systems
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Azure a plus
• Experience with database engines, PostgreSQL a plus
• Experience with distributed caches
• Experience with web sockets and message systems, ProtoBuf a plus
• Solid C#/asp.net core knowledge
• Passion for writing high-quality code with a test-driven mentality
• Ability to tackle complex problems in a simple and maintainable way
• Experience with Unreal 4 a plus
