Art Director / Visual Development

Mass Creation is looking for an Art Director to work on a new video game project.
We are an independent video game developer based in Warsaw, with 12 years of experience. We specialize in action games, and shipped more than 20 titles, including Shing!, Corridor Z and Draw Slasher.

We are seeking candidates who want to shape the visual identity of our new project from the ground-up and help to create a striking, captivating, and exciting look for the game.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Generate rough concepts to explore different styles and designs for the game
• Create designs for characters, environments, and props, both of own design and on a specific request
• When requested, create and present innovative ideas to enhance visual concepts and designs
• Willingness to take feedback and rework material while maintaining a fresh perspective
• Present feedback to other artists to ensure a consistency of style and vision throughout the project

Qualifications:
• Significant character design skills
• Environmental graphic design skills will be a huge asset
• Experienced in video game production – at least 5 years of experience or 2 shipped titles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in team management and subordinate mentoring
• Is a team player, who genuinely enjoys working with others
• Strong time-management skills
• Works well in a fast-paced production environment

Nice to have:
• Experience with working in Unreal Engine
