Design Director (Project 8)

As a Design Director for our newest title, Project 8, you will co-create the concept of the game and manage the team to translate the idea into mechanics, systems, features and the overall player experience capitalizing on the unique identity of the games’ IP.

Your responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Game Director to develop the high-level design concepts and structure that addresses the vision of the project.
• Manage the design process and team to translate high-level concepts into gameplay with special attention to how they support the vision.
• Manage the design team, inspiring, supporting and sharing know-how to build an effective workflow and assure a great working culture.
• Ensure the design team composition, processes and workflows interface well with other domains, to go above and beyond the goals set before the larger team.
• Come up with solutions with regards to key design aspects of the game and address the challenges that may arise during its production and following product management.
• Take active part in project reviews, guiding the team to achieve the best possible results.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position in PC/console AA/AAA games.
• Excellent leader and communicator; able to motivate, influence, and inspire at all levels.
• Ability to articulate a strong design vision and drive the production process to evolve it to its best possible form.
• MVP and results-oriented, excelling in formulating designs that are laser-focused on the outcome with the minimal set of means.
• Elegance in design and efficiency in implementation.
• Comfortable with working under pressure.
