Mechanistry is looking for a passionate C# / Unity Game Developer to join us in developing Timberborn - our successful city-building game.

We are a Polish indie game studio, ready to expand our small team. Timberborn was met with overwhelmingly positive reception with the player community and upon its recent Early Access release it became one of Steam top sellers of the month. Responsibilities:

  • Designing the game’s architecture in collaboration with the rest of the team
  • Implementing gameplay logic and algorithms in Unity and C#
  • Optimizing and debugging the game’s code
  • Assisting artists in their engine-related tasks

Requirements:

  • 3+ years prior experience as a programmer
  • We value general software engineering skills higher than previous experience in video games
  • You know how to detect bottlenecks and how to optimize performance-critical code
  • You have good understanding of algorithms used in video games
  • Basic fluency in Polish and English
  • Knowledge of Unity engine is a plus

  • You’re an avid gamer
  • You’re always looking for ways to improve the quality and architecture of your code
  • You have strong communication skills and a friendly working manner
  • You have experience collaborating closely and productively in software development teams
