Mechanistry is looking for a passionate Game Designer to join us in developing Timberborn - our successful city-building game.

We are a Polish indie game studio, ready to expand our small team. Timberborn was met with overwhelmingly positive reception with the player community and upon its recent Early Access release it became one of Steam top sellers of the month. Do you have talent and the desire to have your voice heard during the further development of the game? If you’re ready for a new and exciting opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Suggesting new content such as buildings, natural resources, production chains, and factions
• Designing completely new game systems
• Recommending balancing changes
• Creating game maps
• Collaboration with our artists and programmers during the design process
• Assisting the community management team

Requirements:

• You live and breathe video games
• 3+ years prior experience as a game designer
• Knowledge of modern game design theory
• Basic fluency in Polish and English
• Knowledge of Unity engine and C# is a plus

Desirable characteristics:

• You’re an avid gamer
• You love deconstructing indie games and seek inspiration in their design
• You have strong communication skills and a friendly working manner
• You have experience collaborating closely and productively in game development teams
