As an HR Business Partner, you will work with our team based in Poland and take responsibility for developing the local HR practices, whilst developing and growing our Polish studio working in partnership with our UK team.
Third Kind Games is an independent game developer based in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, the heart of the UK games industry. In addition, we have now established a Polish office, which is a centre of excellence for Programming and works closely with the UK Team.
Third Kind was founded in 2016, by a group of industry veterans from many high-profile companies such as Activision, Codemasters, Sony, Crytek and more.
Third Kind focuses on emerging technologies and greenfield projects, supported by a dynamic and creative team who are able to explore new ground in this ever-changing landscape.
We are working on several high-profile unannounced projects, making Third Kind Games an incredibly exciting place to be right now. We are also setting new benchmarks for creativity in the games industry, driving technical expertise in programming alongside creative innovation.

HR Business Partner - Role Overview the impact you will have

  • To work with the UK HR team and ensure responsive communication and support as requested for all employee and employment enquiries.
  • Work with the UK team in recruiting and building our team in Poland.
  • You will design innovative and industry-leading benefits to support retention.
  • You will identify and prepare development and succession plans for the key employees and identify employees ready for promotion.
  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks.
  • You will actively support discussions and transfer best HR practices from different geographical functions within Third Kind Games.
  • Designs succession plans for key talents and key job positions.

What we are looking for from an ideal candidate for the HR Business Partner role

  • You will be a team player, but also work autonomously, whilst knowing when to ask for advice from your colleagues
  • The desire and ambition to support the development of an effective HR Function
  • An understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality
  • Project Management and Change Management Skills
  • Excellent and pro-active people skills

Skills and requirements - The skills you need

  • 3 years+ experience in a similar role
  • Adaptable and personable, you will have good people skills.
  • Computer literate with programmes such as word, excel and other IT Systems.
  • Sound decision-making and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Labour Code and Polish employment guidelines.
  • Fluency in Polish and English.

The skills it would also be great to have

  • Gaming industry experience
  • Working towards a qualification or interest in specialist HR areas
