Porting Programmer

Mill Games S.A. is an accelerator of independent gaming studios and an indie game publisher focusing on the Eastern European market.

As a Porting Programmer, your main goal will be to port games made with Unreal Engine to all the platforms we release our games on!

As Porting Programmer you will:

• Work in engines (Unreal Engine 4, Unreal Engine 5, and Unity)
• Port games to multiple platforms (Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One X|S, Xbox Series X|S)
• Optimize and debug the code
• Plan and execute the development of console ports
• Closely collaborate with the QA team in the porting process and fulfilling certification requirements
• Work with the Implementation of SDK, special functions of console platforms
• Optimize CPU and GPU
• Communicate with platforms’ tech teams

Be sure that you:

• Have knowledge of issues related to porting
• Have worked on at least one title released for Nintendo Switch, PS or Xbox consoles - documented
• Have proficient knowledge of C/C++ and C#
• Have the ability to debug and optimize code
• Can communicate with team members and know which dialogue option will not fail the quest
• Have a strong command of both English and Polish
• Love for games, knowledge of various platforms and genres
• Have an organized work style and can work on your own or in a small team

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the console certification process
• Git/Perforce experience
• Experience in developing computer games.
• Experience working with manufacturers' guidelines for the relevant platforms
• Experience in graphics programming (shaders)
