Slitherine is a fast-growing company and won the MCV Indie Publisher of the year awards in 2021. Slitherine has a catalog of over 300 titles for all formats and works on games from small indie titles up to #1 selling multi format big branded products. Some of Slitherine’s licensing partners include Universal Studios for Battlestar Galactica, MGM for Stargate, Sony for Starship Troopers, Skydance for Terminator and Games Workshop for Warhammer 40,000. Slitherine also supports NATO and its allies with its wargaming software for training and analysis purposes.

We are looking for a Technical Artist to join our creative team on our next key project.

Job Description: As a Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between the artistic and technical aspects of game development. You will work closely with artists and programmers to ensure the smooth integration of art assets into the game engine, optimizing performance and maintaining high visual quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tools, scripts, and workflows to streamline the production pipeline.

  • Collaborate with artists and engineers to optimize assets and shaders for performance and quality.

  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to art and animation.

  • Assist in the integration of art assets into the game engine.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for art processes and tools.

  • Provide technical support and training to the art team.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our tools and workflows are cutting-edge.

Requirements:

  • 5+ experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.

  • Strong understanding of both artistic and technical aspects of game development.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, and Photoshop.

  • Experience with the Unity engine.

  • Experience with shader development and optimization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

  • Familiarity with Unity render pipelines

  • Understanding of performance profiling and optimization techniques.

  • The ability to create and optimize VFX.

  • Good verbal and written English as you will be working with an international team across many countries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with procedural content generation tools and techniques.

Type of contract: UoP or B2B

Salary: Based on experience - Based on experience -12 500 PLN - 20 833 PLN gross monthly. 150,000 PLN - 250,000 PLN gross annually.
