Senior Backend Architect

Our Client is a studio based in Berlin founded in 2010.They create and offer an access to web-based and collaborative software that speeds up game content creation and provides the advisory of skilled team of developers, producers, game designers, artists and writers – to deliver the best storytelling experience possible.

Key responsibilities:

Design and shape the ecosystem of their product
Ensure the stability, scalability and security of the complete web stack
Work together with the Web team to develop core components of our infrastructure
Your skills and experience:

You have 8+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large scale distributed web services in production
You are highly experienced scaling applications using WebSockets
You have built inter-service communication using RabbitMQ or AWS SQS
You have a strong understanding of MongoDB
You have experience setting up service health monitoring and performance analysis
You know the essential AWS service landscape inside-out
You are familiar with dependency and build management (npm, Webpack)
You’ve worked with the MERN stack before
You like to build and ship with Docker
You are practical, dedicated and lead by example
You are a positive team player with excellent communication skills in English
Nice to have:

You have a strong understanding of Javascript (ES6), including functional programming
You have a good understanding of GraphQL

salary range: 60,000-80,000 EUR
