Lead/Senior Backend Programmer

With decades of hiring and hands-on team management experience, we know how to recognize true doers and how to build an environment that enables them to excel.  We work on high-quality console, PC, and mobile games.  We are looking for a Lead/Senior Backend Developer for a long term collaboration, working on site or Remotely with our Vavel Warsaw team.

Responsibilities:
As a Lead/Senior Backend Programmer you will build systems and features on multiple platforms. You will work closely with our team of programmers, designers and producers to drive decisions for the projects you will be involved in.

• Architect, and implement scalable back-end systems for project needs

• Collaborate with other programmers on integration and support tasks

• Act upon feedback from stakeholders to refine and hone features

• Work closely with producers, designers and other programmers in a highly collaborative agile environment

• Other ad-hoc projects and/or requirements may arise as requested

• Expand our current gaming platform and help make performance optimizations.

• Help recruit, Mentor and grow a world class team of programmers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 3+ years of experience in similar capacity, preferable in game industry

• Strong understanding of both relational and non-relational databases

• Proficiency in Unity3D, C/C++/C# and Python

• Full stack development experience

• Experience with third party integrations

• Knowledge of OAuth and profiling systems.

• Proven track record to working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team setting

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

• Languages: English is a must

Useful:

• B.S. in Computer Science Engineering preferred
  Familiarity with free-to-play games and best practices

• Knowledge of AS3,YAML, JSON a plus

• Familiarity with integrations into 3rd party BI solutions.

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and problem solving

• Ability to work independently and to be self-directing
