3D Generalist/Animator

We are seeking a full-time 3D Generalist/Animator to join Freiburg based VR studio working on gamified scientific project (UE4).

Responsibilities:

Produce high quality animations
Meet set deadlines with completed and fully realized animations
The ability to effectively collaborate with game designers and programmers
Comfortable receiving or giving critiques
Rig and animate characters and props for interactions
Troubleshoot and solve animation issues with all departments
Implement animation assets into game engine and iterate as needed
Adapt to technical dependencies and engine limitations
Organize and accurately estimate animation tasks

Qualifications:

Online portfolio showcasing professional and personal animation work
At least 2 years of experience in game development animation
Extensive knowledge in Maya or 3DS Max
Adapt to technical dependencies and engine limitations
Experience working with deadlines, and a deadline driven mentality to complete your work
High degree of self-motivation and discipline

Pluses:

Experience in creating animations from motion capture data
Ability to create facial animations
Ability to create 2D sketches /animation storyboards
Console development experience
VR/AR experience as a creator or user
Extensive Experience working with animation tool sets in Unreal Engine 3 or 4

regular/senior: 49-70k EUR
