Head of Learning & Development Department

FUNCTIONS & OBJECTIVES:
The Head of Learning, Development & Community Engagement will provide visionary leadership deploying internal and external resources necessary to execute on an engagement strategy for all employees, across all roles to strengthen the operational success with the focus on strong organic growth, team building culture & making the workplace fun and exciting for all, ultimately delivering competitive employee satisfaction scores and employer rankings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Provide Strategic vision, goals, develops the operating plan & budget for the department
 Establish open and effective communication channels across the operational community
 Research and implement innovative approaches for the development of employees, trainings and management best practices.
 Build on strong relationships with the operational community and promote the brand
 Create and develop global Learning & Development strategies
 Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
 Implement and deploy various learning methods companywide
 Design and deliver customized e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
 Deliver technical and non-technical trainings across the organization
 Evaluation and certification of delivered trainings, making changes and improvements if needed
 Keep L&D policies up to date and aligning with business requirements & best practices 
 Work closely with Operations and HR departments to implement 360 degrees feedback
 Manage a team of Training and L&D Specialists and oversee recruitment activities to align to development strategies
 Be an ambassador for the company and that of its employees to promote the brand internally
 Internal communication strategy to support growth and deliver on opportunities, equal and fair treatment to the operational community 
REQUIREMENTS:
 5 years management experience including, unifying, motivating, developing & influencing changes across a diverse population and business lines.
 Experience in delivering L&D support role with direct or indirect delivery of various programs across the organization 
 Proven experience in team building & leadership for improved organic growth
 Demonstrated understanding of assessment and evaluation techniques
 Quantitative and qualitative data analysis
 Strong working knowledge of L&D concepts, methods, theories and processes
 Fluent English, spoken and written
 A motivational speaker and key influencer to the operational community
 Ability to manage tasks and prioritize them, manage people and projects
 Well-organized, creative, perceptive, goal-oriented, with high personal and communicative skills
 Strong problem solving skills, experienced in managing conflict and ability to respond creatively to challenges 
 Bachelor’s degree in Social studies, public administration, education or related field would be a bonus
