UE4 Programmer

In Simteract we are working on premium indie simulator games and professional simulation systems (e.g. for the automotive industry). Our Traffic AI library is used for autonomous car training purposes and our real-time strategy game, called Neverdark, uses open data to create real, post-electric cities as levels for the gameplay.

Right now we are starting a new project in partnership with an international publisher. We are creating a train simulator and we don't want to compromise - it's going to be the best train simulator for casual and mid-core players in the world. We are focusing on one or two projects at once, not pursuing dozens of small, low budget, pseudo-simulation games.

We are searching for a talented UE4 Programmer to join our team in Kraków (or remotely).

Responsibilities:

• Working on gameplay from the first prototypes
• Designing, implementing and maintaining engine features and game subsystems
• Working with the design team and specialists from the art and level design areas
• Debugging and bug fixing

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a C++ programmer in the game dev industry
• At least 1 year of experience with Unreal Engine 4
• Knowledge of 3D graphics mathematics
• Experience in iterative gameplay development
• Understanding the game market and paying attention to players’ needs
• Good communication and team skills

Good to have (not required):

• Experience with consoles
• Experience with procedural content generation
