Who we are?
Artifex Mundi means “The Artist of the World” and we do our best every day to live up to that name.

What we do?
We do games. We create them, we live them and we breathe them.

Where we do it?
In 2006, there were only 10 of us in a small office. Nowadays, Artifex Mundi counts 90 souls from a variety of GameDev backgrounds. We occupy an entire building in one of the business parks in the capital of Silesia, a modern, vibrant place of growth and opportunity.

Why do we make games?
Simple, really – it’s because we love games!

We are currently looking for a person for the position of Graphics Programmer for the headquarters of Artifex Mundi in Katowice - but we are open to remote work and a hybrid model.

Keywords

• (Required) Writing shaders stack
• (Required) Render pipeline optimization for mobile devices
• (Prefered) Real materials simulation (e.g. cloth, hair)
• (Prefered) Procedural animations
• (Prefered) Textures as data containers
• (Prefered) Machine learning

Responsibilities

• Writes and maintains custom shaders across a range of mobile hardware
• Optimize shaders and render pipeline for cutting-edge visual effects
• Works well with other engineers, artists and designers

Qualifications

• Understands entire graphics engine architecture, from game interface to graphics API interface
• Able to research new technologies and rendering techniques, and implement them into the pipeline
• Able to write, optimize and maintain shaders

Desired skills

• Experience with Shading Languages (HLSL, Cg, GLSL, or SPIR-V)
• Deep understanding of Graphics Lighting Models, and Realtime/Baked Global Illumination
• Deep understanding of Real Time Lighting
• Understanding of GPU Optimization for mobile devices, and profiling techniques
• Strong Skills in 3D mathematics and Graphics algorithms
• Experience with developing mobile game using Unity3D engine
• Experience with machine learning and procedural generation is a plus
