Programmer UE4 - VR Project

We are Ovid Works, creators of Interkosmos and Metamorphosis. We are a group of passionate and experienced individuals who aim at creating unique, high-quality video games for VR, PC, and console markets. We are looking for an experienced Programmer who will help us build amazing games in Unreal Engine 4. If you are driven and disciplined, but also able to think outside the box and break conventions, we’ll be happy to meet you!

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of gameplay mechanics in Unreal Engine 4
• Porting the VR game from PC to Oculus Quest 2
• Profiling the game and searching for bottlenecks
• Reporting elements of the game requiring optimization
• Optimization of the game’s code
• Bugfixing & polishing (fixing reported bugs and improving less polished game elements)
• Communication and close cooperation with designers, artists and other programmers

Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Programmer (personal projects counts)
• Experience in profiling games and searching for performance bottlenecks
• Good knowledge of C++
• Good knowledge of UE4 (Blueprints and C++)
• Familiarity with version control systems
• English on a communicative level, spoken and written
• Independence and initiative - We want our game to have the best possible quality and we expect from you the similar approach. If you see an element that you know could be improved, we expect you will try to improve it or forward it to the teammate responsible for it
• Positive attitude

Additional pluses:

• Experience with VR
• Experience with Oculus Quest / Oculus Quest 2 platforms
• General interest in video games
