Quest Writer

We are Different Tales, an award-winning indie studio based in Warsaw, Poland. Our previous projects include Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest and Wanderlust Travel Stories. We are looking for a quest writer to join our team in the development of our next title, which will be released in cooperation with a leading European publisher. Our ideal candidate is passionate about crafting rich, meaningful stories, is committed to creating deep, replayable narrative experiences and is a fan of magical realism. Responsibilities
Creating content for the game’s quests and systemic text
Cooperating with the narrative designer and other writers to plan, structure, implement and iterate the game’s quests and systemic text.
Supporting other developers by collecting reference materials and creating asset requests for quests.
Taking part in sprint events with the rest of the team, including planning sessions and daily scrums.
Reporting progress in our tracking tools.
Working with QA to fix bugs.

Requirements
3 years of experience in a similar role and at least one shipped title
Excellent English

Pluses
Experience working with narrative creation tools such as Twine
Experience working on RPGs
Experience working with Unreal Engine, in particular with blueprints

Different Tales is a mostly remote work environment, but people living in Warsaw have the possibility to work hybrid or in-office if desired.
