Senior/Mid Unity Developer in Cat-astrophe Games

Cat-astrophe Games is an indie game studio located in Wrocław, Poland. Our goal is to create unique experiences for players, using engaging stories, comic-book-inspired graphics and satisfying mechanics.

We're looking for a Senior (or Mid) Unity developer. We have a number of upcoming cross-platform projects (desktop, mobile, web, consoles) and we're looking for developers experienced in all fields related to Unity cross-platform game and app development.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years experience working in Unity (C#).

• Experience working as a lead developer, making your own decisions about code architecture.

• Experience working in Unity on desktop applications, at least Windows.

• Experience working in Unity for mobile platforms, at least one of Android or iOS.

• Experience working with Unity WebGL target.

• Good knowledge of the C# language and object-oriented programming in general. Ability to write clean, maintainable code.

• Basic knowledge of English language, to communicate clearly (both when speaking and writing).

Nice to have:

• Experience developing outside of Unity is most welcome and valuable to us.

  • Knowledge of native mobile technologies (Android Studio + Java, Xcode + Objective-C/Swift).
  • Knowledge of typical web development (JS, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS).
  • Knowledge of other game engines and programming languages. In particular Unreal Engine (4 or 5) / C++.
  • If you know how the game engines work internally, how to roll your own engine using e.g. OpenGL for rendering then it's a big plus.
  • Generally being versatile in terms of technology, not just being limited to Unity / C# -- this is very valuable to us.

• If you have developed open projects (e.g. on GitHub), please mention them in the application.

• Game design experience is welcome. We search for somebody who can take part in the design of our games, and cooperates with the rest of the team to determine what works best (for players, and with respect to technology).

• Basic knowledge of Polish language, while not required -- is a plus.

You will be expected to:

• Develop new cross-platform games and applications, primarily in Unity / C#.

• Coordinate work with a team.

Form of job:

• You can work fully remotely.

  While we will be very happy to meet in Wrocław (Poland) in person, this is not a requirement, neither is living/working in Wrocław.

• This is a full-time job.

  We'll expect you to be present on daily standups and project meetings, that generally take place between 12:00-16:00 in Polish timezone. Beyond the meetings, we do not expect you to be available in some precisely defined hours each day, but we expect you to deliver around 8 hours of work each workday.

Salary:

Depending on your experience, 9 - 15k PLN netto.

We prefer B2B agreements, but can offer other types of contracts, including "Umowa o Pracę".
