We are Gamedust a video game studio and publisher specializing in VR games created in Unity 3D engine. We share a passion and affection for both: the development process and the games themselves. We are not a corporation - our structure is focused on individual competences. Everyone is responsible for their part of the production process, but we look for a solution as a team in case of difficulties.

We have been on the market since 2017. Since that time, we created and released our games (Overflight, Neverout, Spuds Unearthed, Yupitergrad) for all commonly known platforms, including VR (i.e. Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, Pico Neo 3), and non-VR (PC, Xbox, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch).

Currently we are working on Yupitergrad 2, a sequel to the adventure of space kosmonaut in tracksuit, all in cel-shaded art style. We need an experienced Space Komrade onboard to help us with the project!

As the Lead Technical Artist you will be responsible for the graphic-technical aspect of our game. You should be able to solve any problems related with shader creation (or edition existing), graphic optimization or fixing any graphical bugs. Moreover, you should have practical skills allowing you to organize work and backlog management for a 3D team. Your role will be placed between two worlds - artistic direction and technical aspects based on VR headset requirements. It sounds like a lot of fun, doesn't it ? All that's left is the joy of creating games in the most dynamically developing branch of the gamedev industry!

What do we expect?

🚀 minimum one year of experience in a similar position in the production of games;
🚀 high level of communication and organizational competencies,
🚀 work organization and backlog management for 3D team,
🚀 knowledge of the 3D pipeline in the context of the Unity engine (shaders and fixed function),
🚀 the ability to program shaders in HLSL in Unity,
🚀 the ability to create shaders in the ShaderGraph tool in Unity at the basic level,
🚀 very good skills in creating high-poly and low-poly models,
🚀 ability to create models for 3D / VR games,
🚀 3D texturing and UV mapping skills,
🚀 rigging and animating skills,
🚀 creativity and responsibility,
🚀 fluency of Polish or English.

Nice to have:

🚀 the ability to adapt to the chosen graphic style;
🚀 experience in working on virtual reality game or business projects;
🚀 ability to draw / concept 2D.
