We are The Iron Lung, passionate developers and gamers at heart, working on an ambitious AA+ project which combines multiple genres such as Soulslike and Shooter.

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated VFX Artist who will help us bring our game to life on multiple platforms; PC and console.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with all creative departments; designers, programmers and artists.
  • Design and implement special effects that strengthen the gameplay clarity and aesthetics.
  • Balance visuals with gameplay clarity; amazing effects also need to accurately represent specific actions or states.
  • Prepare assets that match a specific artstyle.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a visual effects artist in game dev or related industries.
  • Experience in Cascade and Niagara systems,
  • Relevant 3D software experience - 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Houdini, Substance,
  • Communicative English.

Nice to have:

  • Passionate about playing video games and most importantly, making them,
  • Familiarity with the Soulslike (and shooter) genre.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with version control software; Perforce.
