We're looking for epic 2D Animator to join the team and elevate our animations to another level!
We're The Rat Project, a studio working on Magin: The Rat Project Stories together with Daedalic Entertainment
Requirements
- Great portfolio / showreel.
- Skills in stylized animation and top-notch 2D animating skills.
- Great skeletal animation skills (Unity, Spine, etc.)
- Good understanding and fluency in different walking and running cycles and other character animations.
- Creativity and a great sense of esthetics.
- Overall 2D art expertise.
Nice to have
- Experience in 2D art and illustration.
- Experience in Unity.
- Finished gamedev projects.
Your responsibilities
- Creating 2D animations for the game (characters - traversing, idle, other activities, cutscenes, dialogues, assets for locations, possibly cinematics).
- Implementing and creating animations in Unity.
- Editing 2D assets and illustrations for animating purposes.
- Working closely with a team of our talented artists to produce the game within certain time schedules.
- Estimating your work input, planning the tasks, and delivering them on time.

- Salary dependent on the skill level, scheduled plan and scope of duties.
- 25-45k PLN budget for the whole animation plan delivery. (we estimate the workload to be 4-5 months)

Magin: The Rat Project Stories
Our game is a story-driven card battler. Adventure RPG elements intertwine with the deck-building system, creating engaging gameplay and narrative experience where the choices really matter. The game presents a dark, fantasy world through a non-linear plot, depicted in a comic-book art style. It’s a hand-drawn, immersive tale.
