Senior Level Designer

Anshar Studios is looking for a talented Senior Level Designer to join our team on-site in Katowice, Poland, or remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, prototyping, building locations, scripting, and optimizing levels
• Own level designs from conception to the final stages
• Collaborate with different teams (narrative designers, game designers, artists, animators, etc.) to ensure the correct integration of all level design elements
• Taking responsibility for the level design layer
• Writing clear and concise level design documents
• Works with production to assist, and provide feedback to plans and schedules
• Introducing feedback for general game improvement
• Identify, develop and communicate best practices for everything related to level design in games
• Analyze user testing and recommend design solutions

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience as a Level Designer
• Credited as a level designer in at least 2 commercial video game
• Creative yet analytical mind and ability to think out of the box
• Knowledge of design fundamentals
• Experience in Unreal Engine 4
• Advanced knowledge of the following applications: Jira, Outlook, Confluence, Miro
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent ability to organize and structure own work
• Fluent English (B2/C1 level)
• Intermediate Polish (B1/B2 level)

Pluses:

• Experience using tools for prototyping the game experience
• Experience with scripting languages
• Experience with mentoring other designers
• Experience with supervising a level design team
