Role overview
- You will enjoy working with a lot of different technologies and be capable of learning a new language or technology without guidance.
- You will stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry movements.
- You will fully own complex systems through design and development, working closely with the game designers and other disciplines to realise their visions.
- You will be capable of working autonomously, gathering your own requirements and creating your own solutions.
- You will play a key role in bug fixing and helping the team to deliver milestones.
- You will help to drive to our creative planning sessions, scrums, and retrospectives.
- You will play an active role in the mentoring and development of junior staff.
- You will be motivated by creative freedom, ground-breaking challenges, and unknown territory.
- You will prefer a creative, open-thinking environment, over one driven by specs and have a passion for working on a wide variety of tasks.
- You will be adept at communicating with colleagues and customers to work well as a team.
The skills you need
- 5+ years' gaming industry experience in C++ or C#
- Good English communication skills
- Strong skills in Visual Studio and Perforce
- Proven debugging and critical analysis skills
- Experience with Unity, Unreal or an in-house game engine
Skills it would be good to have
- AAA experience
- Experience with multiplayer games
- Experience with developing games for mobile platforms
- Experience with developing games for modern consoles
