2D Artist

Robot Gentleman, the independent games developer known for the atomic dark comedy adventures 60 Seconds! and 60 Parsecs! is on the lookout for a talented and experienced 2D Artist to join our studio REMOTELY or ON-SITE in Poznań, Poland.

You are:
• An open-minded, creative person
• A dedicated gamer who is interested in the design, art and cultural significance of games
• A professional game developer with a passion for indie games

You have:
• Worked as an artist or animator in the games industry or another creative industry for at least 3 years on commercial/public projects
• Taken part in at least one project from the idea stage to the publishing stage
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team

Your skills include:
• Fluent English (minimum C1) - in speech and writing
• Experience in various art styles and techniques
• Strong understanding of art fundamentals and visual design
• Expertise in industry standard design tools including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Creating 2D game art assets from concept sketches to production graphics
• Creating additional 2D game art assets, such as HUD/UIX and platform-specific art
• Creating 2D animations (procedural and stop motion)
• Creating additional 2D art assets, such as marketing and promotional art
• Experimenting with different art styles in a search for what is best for our games
• Constantly learning new tricks and tools and improving your skills
• Pushing the art, polish and usability of game art design while working within the challenging technical restrictions of multiplatform games

A bonus if you:
• Have skills and experience in animation
• Have experience in UI and UX work
• Have knowledge and/or experience of the Unity engine
• Are familiar with game design concepts
• Have experience working closely with technical developers

What we are offering:
• Full-time, on-site position in an office that is a part of the game dev/creative collective Pyramida Hub in the centre of Poznań
• Contract form negotiable
• Salary starting from 6-7k PLN (net) - individual salary proposals will depend on your skills and experience
