Klabater is an independent video game developer and publisher based in Warsaw, Poland. The company offers complex services to the developers, our involvement includes anything from financial support, porting services, to PR & marketing campaigns. Our portfolio includes ambitious independent self-developed games such as Crossroads Inn and Moonshine Inc. but also successfully published games as We. The Revolution, Help Will Come Tomorrow and many others.

What we are looking for

We're looking for a talented and ambitious Game Designer to design and implement game systems for our Crossroads Inn 2 game. Candidates will need to demonstrate experience in the field of game design, systems design, as well as a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis. Successful candidates will also need to show a strong passion for games across many genres.

Responsibilities

• development and design of gameplay systems and mechanics,
• creating and maintaining game design documentation and technical specifications,
• overseeing development cycle of the feature from paper design to final implementation,
• continuous cooperation, as a member of the design team, across all areas of games design production and implementation,
• managing community expectations and deliver a faithful sequel to the original game.

Requirements

• at least two years of experience working as a Game Designer at least one shipped PC title,
• creative and curious mind capable of responsible design,
• good understanding of game development areas including design, programming and art,
• good communication skills and ability to work in a team in an international environment,
• English level of B2 or higher,
• excellent knowledge about modern game design trends and features/mechanics.

Nice to have

• experience working with Unity,
• strong understanding of game mechanics, systems and game balance,
• be able to build prototypes with one of the tools like: Spreadsheets, Python, Unity,
• be passionate about strategy, tycoon and management games.
