What is this job all about?
We keep developing and our team is growing. We’re currently looking for a Junior Economy Designer. If you have a solid foundation in math, enjoy solving problems, understand game design principles, and are proficient with essential tools like Excel, don't hesitate to apply. What will be your responsibilities?
- Being passionate about the design of your game, seeking to understand its place in the market and how it appeals to players by BEING one of them;
- Using references from our competitors and other games to help improve your game;
- Seeking out knowledge from both inside and outside the company to further your own design and game development understanding.
What are we looking for?
Math & economy skills:
- Knowing the basics of mathematics (especially combinatorics & probabilities);
- Willingness to learn known and commonly used elements of math (e.g. distributions, regressions);
- Can use and define basic economy occurrences (e.g. inflation, denomination).
Analytical skills:
- Keeping track of KPIs and other statistics;
- Is aware of goals to be achieved;
- Can suggest possible solutions based on data.
Design skills:
- Is aware of free-to-play design principles (monetization, pacing, live game best practices, etc.);
- Working with Game Designers and Business Analysts;
- Can think about the user experience from a math perspective.
Tools:
- Excel/Google Sheets to process the necessary calculations;
- Can read graphs/dashboards to find the required data for either design or feature analyses;
- Can create block diagrams and schemes to provide projected design or user flow.
