We are exploring many new challenges from multiple verticals every day. In this role, you will work closely with our business, product and engineering teams to deploy solutions to enterprise customers and see firsthand how a top-notch AI startup is built.

As a Head of Pipeline for SE you will provide technical support for our teams. You’ll work with a wide variety of software or technical possibilities to assist CG, Integration and Engine Team, develop necessary tools, and pipeline solutions. These include: review tools and pipeline, production and asset tracking services, software environment management and more. You will be working closely with our CG Head and DevOps Team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing, maintaining and extending our pipeline.
  • Supplying new tools and scripts.
  • Supporting the CG department in the maintenance and setup of the CG software, Shotgrid and license server.
  • Optimizing internal efficiencies, producing systems that are both reusable and scalable.
  • Liaising with TD and Head CG to update and determine pipeline requirements, goals, and challenges.
  • Engaging in R&D on new tools, processes & features to meet our expanding tech suite in our custom engine.
  • Helping troubleshoot technical issues across projects.
  • Testing and debug tools and processes to ensure stability and usability.

Must-have skills and qualities [Senior/Mid]:

  • Strong understanding of production processes and artist workflows within vfx, Games or Visualization industries and how they fit into the CG pipeline.
  • Tools design, development and maintenance experience in a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of 3D geometric attributes and principles.
  • Knowledge of at least one 3D package (ideally Blender or Houdini).
  • Python programming and Blender/Houdini scripting experience.
  • Knowledge of Shotgrid.
  • Knowledge of renderers & render wrangling solutions (ideally Deadline API), and Understanding of renderer specific file formats, video and image formats, resolutions and standards.
  • Experience documenting pipelines and tools and providing guidance to artists.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in designing and building database systems.
  • Experience in developing code for use within Shotgrid. (including Toolkit API).
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Having some experience in the latest technology, USD, PDG, or being prepared to learn, research and utilize it as required.
