Material Artist

Mighty Koi is an up and coming studio working on an extremely ambitious indie premium (AA+) title set within an established IP. The project is a Narrative-driven, TPP Action RPG that is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and will be released on multiple platforms; PC and next gen consoles. We are looking for a Material Artist who will join our creative team of experienced and passionate developers who strive to make a splash in the industry and craft an innovative piece of art.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in game development as a Material Artist or a similar role.
• Proven track record in AA-AAA game development, having contributed significantly to at least one complete project cycle, with credited contributions.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of modern game production cycles, and methodologies.
• Strong expertise in modern Game Engines required, with a preference for candidates possessing in-depth knowledge in development with UE5 for PC and Consoles, including knowledge of its technical limitations and complexities.
• Deep & highly proficient knowledge of Substance Designer.
• Strong understanding of the latest games art fundamentals of PBR rendering, materials, lighting, post-processing, and pipeline developments.
• Knowledge of modern art production workflows and its industry standard DCC’s and their scripting languages (At least one of 3DS Max, Maya or Blender).
