Founded in 2012, Anshar Studios is looking for a talented Technical Animator to join our team in Katowice.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain animation systems for character and gameplay needs.
- Create and maintain character rigs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of animation quality.
- Develop and maintain in-house animation tools and scripts to support the animation team.
- Work closely with animation, modelling, gameplay and technical teams to achieve seamless integration of system, tools, and rigs.
- Take responsibility for key parts of the animation process or specific game features, ensuring consistency across the project.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced technical animators and animators.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical animator or similar role in the video game industry.
- Proven expertise in animation tool development using blueprints or scripting languages such as Python, C#, C++.
- Strong background in character rigging, with in-depth knowledge of skinning, deformation, and facial rigging techniques.
- Extensive experience with animation state machines, gameplay mechanics, Control Rig, IK solutions, physics systems, and comprehensive technical proficiency with Unreal Engine, especially the Animation Blueprint (ABP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Intermediate English (B1/B2 level)
- Intermediate Polish (B1/B2 level)
Pluses:
- Experience with recent features in Unreal Engine's animation toolkit, including Metahuman Animator, and Motion Matching technologies.
- Ability to read and modify C++ code.
- Familiarity with Gameplay Ability System
- Managing animation pipelines for characters of different body proportions.
- Experience with character dismemberment techniques
Offered salary:
- Specialist from 7 500zł up to 13 000 zł on a contract (B2B + VAT) or UoP (6 250 - 11 050 zł brutto) depending on skills and experience.
- Senior/Expert from 12 500 zł up to 25 000 zł on a contract (B2B + VAT) or UoP (10 425 - 20 900 zł brutto) depending on skills and experience.
