Level Designer

Red Anvil is looking for an experienced Level Designer to join our development team working on an open-world third-person perspective (TPP) game. You will play a key role in shaping immersive, engaging spaces that support gameplay systems, narrative, and player freedom.

Job Description

As a Level Designer at XYZ, you will be responsible for designing, building, and iterating on open-world locations that deliver strong exploration, clear navigation, and meaningful player experiences. You will collaborate closely with game designers, artists, programmers, and narrative designers to ensure a cohesive and high-quality game world.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in the gamedev industry as a Level Designer or in a similar role.
• Participation in the development of at least one released game title.
• Proven experience in open-world level design, including:
  • player exploration,
  • gameplay pacing,
  • activity placement,
  • points of interest (POI) design.
• Very good knowledge of Unreal Engine tools and workflow.
• Strong understanding of core level design principles, including:
  • player guidance and navigation readability,
  • quest and mission integration,
  • environmental storytelling,
  • sandbox systems.
• Communicative knowledge of Polish and English (minimum B2 level).
