Senior Game Writer

Donkey Crew is looking for a Senior Game Writer to join our international team, based in the beautiful city of Wrocław, Poland. If you are enthusiastic about making great PC and Console games in an inspiring and growing environment, and you want to work on our exciting open world title Bellwright made with Unreal Engine 5, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Creating & expanding the main storyline of the game
• Writing in-game texts and dialogues
• Creating side quests with engaging storylines
• Coming up with memorable characters
• Providing documentation for narrative development for the rest of the team
• Mentoring and assisting other members of the narrative team
• Cooperating with the design team to ensure cohesive progression of narrative and gameplay aspects of the game

Requirements:

• Advanced, native-level writing skills in English - this is especially important
• At least two story-driven shipped games
• Openness for feedback and flexible in shaping the stories written
• Passion for storytelling through world-building
• Understanding of level design as a narrative tool
• A love of story-driven games
• Practical experience with implementation of quests, dialogues etc. in Unreal Engine
• A portfolio of writing samples - especially examples of worldbuilding and quest-ready to implement, with dialogues
