Art Game Developer - Prototype

We are looking for a Game Developer working in UE5 or Unity who is interested in artistic, weird gaming projects.

age3000 is a small, fem-led, queer studio based between Berlin and Poland. We've been building experimental art games and interactive installations for galleries and institutions - now we're moving into our first indie narrative title. If you value weird, thoughtful, artist-driven projects - you'll fit right in.

We're prototyping a narrative adventure game for PC and looking for a freelance developer to join our small team. Deadline for a prototype is October 2026. We looking for developers registered in Poland or the Berlin area.

😈 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Experimental Prototype: Building a short but playable Proof of Concept
Full Gameplay Loop: Connecting everything together
TPP Mechanics: Responsive character movement and camera system
World Logic & Scripting: Implementing assets into the scene and bringing them to life (interactions)
Narrative & Cutscenes: Dialogue system and smooth transitions to cinematic scenes
Audio Setup: Hooking up sounds and music
Co-dev: You won't be working alone - there's already a developer on the team, so tasks and responsibilities will be split between you

⚙️ YOUR SKILLSET

Proficiency in UE5 (Lumen/Nanite) or Unity (HDRP) – engine to be decided together
Scripting: Strong knowledge of Blueprints/C++ or C#
3D Realistic Pipeline: Knowledge of PBR, mesh optimization and UV
VFX & Shaders: Familiarity with Niagara/Material Editor or VFX/Shader Graph
Version Control: Git

💟 BONUS IF: You have experience with narrative/adventure games & artistic projects
