Wojan Studio is looking for an experienced Animation Technical Director to help build and maintain the production pipeline for our upcoming 3D animated feature film.

We are currently assembling an animation team at our studio in Warsaw, Poland. Joining our team offers a unique opportunity to help establish the technical foundations of an ambitious animated production from the ground up while collaborating with artists, animators, and technical specialists across all departments.

We're looking for candidates from Junior to Senior level, with several open positions currently available.
This is an on-site position based with hybrid options in our office in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Create character rigs, animation tools, and animation pipeline solutions.
• Solve technical challenges across assets, animation, and shot production in Maya.
• Work closely with Supervisors, Animators, and Riggers to identify and address production needs.
• Contribute to technical planning and pipeline decisions from pre-production through final delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Animation Pipeline TD, Character TD, Technical Animator, or in a similar role within animation, games, or film.
• Strong understanding of the technical side of character animation in Maya.
• Excellent Python scripting and tool development skills.
• Solid production experience in Technical Animation, Rigging, or CG Pipeline Development.
• Experience with asset management systems, version control, and production tracking tools.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Pluses

• Credited on at least one released animated feature film, TV series, high-end game cinematic, or other large-scale visual production in a technical role.
• Experience with Autodesk Flow, ftrack, or similar production tracking tools.
• Maya is our primary production tool; experience with Blender or Houdini is a plus.
