For our brave tribe MATABOO we are looking for an experienced Code Sorceress or Sorcerer (Low-Level C++ Programmer) to support our team in the unique adventures we are taking part in and those ahead of us.
MATABOO supports developers and publishers at every stage of their projects. We specialize in co-development, porting, remasters, remakes, optimization, bug fixing and other tasks for seasoned programmers. Our expertise spans across Unreal Engine, Unity and proprietary engines. Whatever game platform or engine you choose, we are here to assist you.
MATABOO works closely with renowned studios, including Warner Bros. Games, Rocksteady, Pradox Interactive, Frogwares, GSC Game World, Kepler Interactive, Creepy Jar, Tate Multimedia and The Farm 51. We provide extensive support for titles like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Gotham Knights, Tchia, Chernobylite, Green Hell, The Medium, Kao the Kangaroo and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Sherlock Holmes game series.

Position:
- Code Sorceress/Sorcerer (Low-Level C++ Programmer)
Requirements:
- Deep low-level expertise: excellent understanding of hardware and OS internals (memory management, threading, CPU architecture, inter-process communication) — this is a hard requirement.
- Specialization in one or more of the following areas: Rendering, Memory management, CPU/GPU optimisation, Consoles, Multiplayer and networking systems.
- Excellent knowledge of algorithms, acceleration structures and optimization techniques.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Unity or proprietary engines is a plus.
Salary depending on experience:
- 17 000 - 22 000 PLN net + VAT (B2B contract).
- Both B2B and employment contracts are possible.
Location: work on-site or hybrid in Warsaw (preferred). Remote work possible.
What will you work on?
- You will be part of our development team that work on codevelopment, remastering or porting of our clients’ games (PC and consoles).
What will be your tasks?
- Work on transferring games between different platforms.
- Creation of new and extension of existing gameplay functionalities.
- Optimizing game performance.
- Expansion of the existing game engine with new functions.
- Creating documentation of the work performed.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
- At least 4 years of experience as low-level C++ programmer.
- Very good knowledge of C++, x86 / x64 platforms and the principles of object-oriented and data-oriented programming.
- Programming or IT education.
- Good command of the English language.
Additional advantages will be:
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4-5 (highly expected).
- Knowledge of Unity and proprietary engines is a plus.
- Experience in multithreaded programming, tool development, debugging, profiling, code and memory optimization.
- Knowledge of DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan or Metal.
- Experience in the field of multiplayer and network code issues.
- Development experience with consoles (Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch).
- Experience in creating games, emulators or demoscene productions.

What are the conditions and bonuses?
