We are seeking a skilled and people-oriented Manager with experience in the game development industry. You will support the Head of Department by managing specialists from one or more narrative-related fields, which may include specializations like Character Artists, and Animators. The ideal candidate will excel in team management, career development, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with specialists to support their professional growth, address concerns, and provide coaching.
- Career Pathing & Performance: Plan, track, and support career development paths. Identify and act on training needs, performance issues, and growth opportunities.
- Culture & Wellbeing: Foster a healthy, inclusive work environment. Address and resolve interpersonal or work-related issues.
- Animation/Character Art Leadership: Collaborate with the Head of Department in shaping the approach, vision, and strategic direction for Animation, and/or Character Art within the company.
- Project & Resource Planning: Coordinate with project leads to ensure efficient resource distribution and support delivery of high-quality game features.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflow and process improvements consistent with best practices in the gaming industry.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- Proven management experience (at least 3 years) in a game development environment.
People Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop professionals.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- A charismatic, responsible, and engaged approach to work.
Organization:
- Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and communication.
- Proactive mindset - taking the initiative, solving challenges, and driving solutions.
Art, Animation or Character Art Background:
- Solid understanding of animation or character art processes and game development pipelines.
- Experience with teamwork organizing tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Miro).
Industry Insight:
- Up-to-date with trends and technologies in game development.
Communication:
- Fluent in Polish.
- C1 in English.
Pluses:
- Knowledge of game project development, lifecycles and agile frameworks.
- Deep understanding of game development pipelines.
- Passion for video games.
Salary:
12 550 PLN - 22 600 PLN gross (depending on skills and experience)
