Game description
We’re currently working on an AAA dark fantasy RPG - The Blood of Dawnwalker, the first title of a planned saga set in our own brand-new universe.

We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR team in Warsaw and work closely with managers, team leads, and the studio’s leadership. This is a broad, hands-on HR role.

We are looking for someone who has practical experience across the employee lifecycle, providing day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, but also is comfortable dealing with more complex people situations, including performance issues, organizational changes, and employee exits.

Experience in the game industry is a plus, but what matters most to us is that you have actually worked with these processes, know how to navigate complex, sensitive situations with good judgment, and can combine empathy for people with the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering and supporting managers and team leads on day-to-day people management topics.
  • Handling employee relations cases and helping resolve complex, sensitive situations.
  • Advising managers on Polish labor law, internal policies, and HR best practices.
  • Working with employees on questions, concerns and workplace-related matters.
  • Identifying people-related risks and bringing them to the attention of managers and the HR Manager.
  • Using HR data and observations to identify trends and recommend actions.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of HR processes, policies, and internal standards.
  • Providing HR-related documents as an additional support (contracts, certificates of employment etc.).
  • Cooperating with the HR team on job descriptions, job grading, salary benchmarks, compensation reviews and related employee communications.
  • Partnering with the HR and Legal teams on regulations and contractual setups (B2B, Employment Contracts, immigration & foreign nationals) throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Supporting and coordinating performance management processes, including feedback, improvement plans, role changes, promotions and other performance-related decisions.
  • Supporting complex recruitment processes and onboarding when needed.
  • Conducting offboarding processes and exit interviews.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a broad HR role, such as HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Generalist (or a similar position) gained in the game development industry, modern technology or similar fast-moving organization.
  • Educational background in psychology, HR management, law or a related field.
  • Practical experience collaborating with HR Operations/Payroll.
  • Practical experience in navigating complex employee matters, performance management, and supporting the employment termination process.
  • Fluency in guiding managers and leaders through people-related decisions.
  • Good working knowledge of Polish labor law.
  • Very good command of Polish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to communicate clearly and navigate employee matters from both the human and organizational perspective.
  • Clear, decisive judgment with the ability to navigate complex situations where there is not always one obvious answer.
  • High level of discretion and confidence in handling sensitive information.
  • Independence, ownership, and good work organization.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Ability to work a few days a week from the Warsaw office (for logistical reasons, we strongly prefer candidates based in or near Warsaw, or those willing to relocate).

Nice to Have:

  • Additional training in areas such as coaching, facilitation, mediation, communication, or conducting soft-skills group trainings.
  • Experience designing or improving performance evaluation and employee development processes.
  • Experience working with HR metrics and people analytics.
  • Experience supporting organizational change or company growth.
  • Experience working with senior leadership or Management Boards.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Share in profits after the game’s release.
  • Flexible working hours, with core hours between 11am and 3pm CEST.
  • Hybrid working model.
  • Modern office located in Warsaw, Ursynów, close to the Metro Station.
  • A high level of autonomy and real influence over how HR processes are developed.
  • Direct cooperation with managers, team leads, and studio leadership
  • The opportunity to help shape the people practices and organizational culture of a growing independent game studio.
  • A work environment based on trust, transparency, responsibility, and mutual respect.
  • An opportunity to work on global AAA RPG titles with an experienced team.

Please be advised that we will only contact shortlisted candidates.
