FROZEN DISTRICT

Hey!

Frozen District is the Kraków-based studio behind House Flipper. Our games about renovating and decorating homes have reached millions of players around the world, on both PC and consoles.
We’re looking for a specialist to join our marketing team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining our current business relationships and finding new ones, as well as supporting the team with day-to-day work around releases, updates and other events. You’ll report directly to our CMO and work in a team of 8 people, so your work will have a visible impact from day one.

This is an on-site-only job. We can help you relocate if needed, but we don’t offer remote work.

Main responsibilities:

  • Partnerships: building and growing relationships with platforms, other studios and brands outside the gaming industry,
  • New business: finding opportunities for House Flipper and the studio’s other titles, end to end: from first contact to a signed deal,
  • Platforms: managing our store pages and platform relations across Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo.

Your stats:

  • 2+ years of experience with creators,
  • Fluent English - that’s the must-have,
  • Basic polish, B1 level,
  • Ease in communication,
  • Very good organization skills,
  • High level of self-sufficiency.

Your regular tasks would include:

  • Bundles: putting together bundles with other games, from research and outreach to agreeing on terms,
  • Offers: reviewing incoming proposals and recommending which ones are worth pursuing,
  • Platform contacts: keeping in touch with account managers about promotions, featuring and sales,
  • Store pages: keeping descriptions, assets, pricing and release dates up to date,
  • Launches: supporting the team around releases and major updates, from sale submissions to store page changes.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience: you’ve spent 3+ years in business development or marketing in the games industry,
  • Gamer at heart: you love games and know the industry inside out. You play, follow launches and trends, and know what’s happening on Steam this week. That’s what lets you tell whether a bundle or partnership makes sense for our players,
  • Ownership: you like running your own topics. You set your own priorities, keep things moving without anyone checking in, and when information is missing, you go and find it,
  • Initiative: no need to wait for a to-do list. When you spot a game that would fit a bundle, or a brand we could team up with, you’re already writing to them. In this role, most opportunities won’t come to you on their own,
  • People skills: you feel just as comfortable talking to an account manager at a major platform as to a two-person indie studio. You write clearly, negotiate without burning bridges, and after every meeting, the team knows what was agreed and what’s next,
  • Organisation: you can juggle several topics at once without dropping any of them,
  • English: fluent enough for partner talks and negotiations,
  • Travel: you're not scared of business trips and trade shows,
  • Platforms: you’ve worked with at least one of the platform backends (Steamworks, XBOX Partner Center, PlayStation Partners, Nintendo Developer Portal).

Bonus points for:

  • IP licensing: experience working with licensors,
  • Age ratings: knowing your way around PEGI, ESRB and USK,
  • Network: existing business contacts in and outside the games industry,
  • Events: experience organising trade shows or events (Gamescom, PGA, PAX West, etc.).

What we offer:

  • Salary: based on your experience and knowledge,
  • Office: a full-time job at our office in Kraków, with 1 remote day per week,
  • Flexible hours: core hours 11:00-15:00, the rest is up to you,
  • Contract: stable employment on the type of contract that suits you best,
  • Growth: company-paid training,
  • Language lessons: lessons, and not just English,
  • Healthcare: private medical care with LUX MED,
  • Sport: a Multisport card,
  • Vibe: a friendly office with after-work gaming, tons of coffee and a pet-friendly environment.
